His life was very interesting and continues to give valuable lessons which can be still applicable within our present times. His name was Joseph... the favorite daughter of Jacob... A person whod wonderful dreams... The item of sibling rivalry. In the tale, Joseph was always the middle of his fathers love and interest. John even gave Joseph a colorful coat or garment that came to characterize how particular he was in his fathers eyes. Later on, hed pay for his fathers foolish actions. Josephs brothers resented him because he was the favourite child. John, the daddy, had two wives, two concubines, and twelve sons --- all competing for his attention. Josephs family crisis have all the ingredients of the t.v soap opera...with various symptoms of jealousy, violence, deception and self-interest. Reading the account of Josephs life is much like being stuck to the t.v screen full of expectation about what may happen next. Joseph, the dreamer, once told his brothers about a dream that a time would come when they would all bow down to him. This dream made his friends grow more angry towards him. Joseph was sent by his father o-n an errand, 1 day. Especially, Joseph was tasked to see his friends who have been in the area. Some reports state that his friends plotted to destroy him but later chose to throw Joseph right into a pit. Josephs brothers also took his vibrant coat and wiped it with animal blood. They later lied with their father by stating that Joseph died after being attacked by wildlife. After some time at the end of the pit, Joseph was acquired by traveling merchants and later sold him into slavery. The young lad was later sold by the merchants to Potiphar, among the Egyptian Pharaohs respected leaders. As a employee in Potiphars household, h-e became known in his labors. He was later employed manager over Potiphars household. The story requires a radical turn when Potiphars wife falsely accused Joseph of attempting to sexually assault her. Needless to say, Potiphars spouse did this to return at Joseph who repeatedly warded off her sexual advances. Angered by the accusation, Potiphar sent Joseph to prison. In prison, Joseph again found favor by being able interpret the dreams of the Pharaoh. The Pharaoh was so full of tension and anxiety about the ideas he couldnt comprehend and the horrible dreams he had. Through Joseph, the Pharaoh could understand the economic effects of his dreams for the land of Egypt. Later, he was appointed governor of Egypt. The famine that struck the land where his sons and Jacob lived became the reason why they were later reunited. Reconciliation between Joseph and his friends paved the way for Jacob to again see his son. This remarkable story shows how we, like Joseph, should cling to faith also within the most trying conditions. Stress and anxiety need not stop us from believing that God has forsaken us and that weve been left alone at the center of our problems. Certainly, overcoming lifes difficulties is a journey of confidence, faith, and determination that of us should just take. Like Joseph, we could also dream great dreams and live up to our fullest potential..
